The roots of our community stretch back to 1872, when the Sisters of Mercy first opened our doors (before moving to our current location in 1908). As part of Elder Care Alliance (link to Eldercarealliance.org) a nonprofit organization affiliated with Transforming Age, we exist for no other reason than to provide exemplary, holistic care to the older adults we are honored to serve. While many things have changed over the years, our purpose has remained as focused and strong as the faith that guides us.
Our goal is to holistically engage and enrich mind, body, and spirit by aligning our values and actions, connecting to our purpose, and finding meaning in life. Our community has at least one staff member dedicated to spiritual care. Whether facilitating religious services, meditation, discussion groups or providing guidance to individuals or simply listening, our Spiritual Care Directors bring a compassionate human connection to our residents regardless of belief system.
