What is a Life Plan Community?

Also known as a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), Life Plan communities offer housing and on-site amenities for seniors who want to remain in place. By offering a full continuum of on-site care, you can feel confident knowing your needs will be met if they ever change. Whether that's Assisted Living, Memory Care, or Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation, we have you covered.

A clear fee structure.

  1. Step 1. The Application Process Fee
  2. The first step to becoming a resident at The Meadows is to pay a $1,000 Application Processing fee, which will put your name on our applicant list and is 100% refundable should you not qualify for residency or decide not to move to The Meadows before you sign a Continuing Care Agreement.
  3. Step 2. The Reservation DeposIt
  4. Once you’ve selected an apartment, you will be asked to make a $10,000 deposit toward your Entrance Fee. The remaining balance is due after you have been notified that your apartment is ready for occupancy.
  5. Step 3. The Entrance Fee
  6. The Entrance Fee is a one-time payment when you first become a resident at The Meadows. The amount depends on the apartment and type of plan you choose. We offer an 90% repayable plan which provides you or your estate a repayment when your contract ends.
  7. Step 4. The Monthly Fee
  8. The Monthly Fee is an ongoing payment due each month. The amount depends on the size and style of the apartment you choose and whether you live there alone. As you move through the Continuum of Care at The Meadows, your Monthly Fee will be adjusted accordingly.

Why it is advantageous.

Choosing a Continuing Care Retirement Community is smart for many reasons. This type of senior living allows residents to continue living in the same community—even as their health care needs change. By selecting a CCRC, you’re in control of your financial and healthcare decisions—because you’ve chosen both your community and your care. Additionally, there are tax advantages for residents and a care fund in place to assist any residents that may outlive their resources.
