Meet Stephen, Digital Marketing Coordinator.

I started in 2018 as an intern while I finished my marketing degree at the University of Washington. After graduating, I transitioned to a full-time Digital Marketing Coordinator role. The culture here is very supportive of my growth overall. I have a lot of freedom to work on projects the way I think makes sense, and then bring my work forward for collaboration and input.

I’m part of a very forward-thinking organization where we’re trying to push forward what this industry is doing in marketing into all aspects of digital marketing, such as social media, digital advertising, search engine marketing, and search engine optimization.

It’s rewarding to take on projects the way I see fit and use technology or software to evolve our marketing approach.

Meet Jomo, Nursing Assistant.

I’ve worked at Heathers Manor for nearly seven years, and no time was as challenging as the past year. Those uncertain times ignited a special strength in many people, including the team at Heathers Manor. We remained resolute to provide excellent care to our residents and to shield them from the pandemic.

Our “all hands on deck” teamwork paid off greatly! The coronavirus fought hard but our team fought even harder and won! Everyone played their role effectively and efficiently. The domino effect of complete teamwork and countless efforts by all of our team, and the leadership of our Executive Director, kept us on track.

Meet Megan, Assistant Executive Director.

I began my journey with Transforming Age in December 2019 as a Community Relations Director at The Rivers in Burnsville, MN. My primary focus was marketing and sales, and then recently I moved to my current position as Assistant Executive Director at Waterford! This opportunity has been one of growth, continuous learning, and the creation of some amazing new relationships with staff and the residents.

One of my favorite parts about working with seniors is the opportunity to sit down and simply listen. They are truly the best storytellers, with so much wisdom to pass on. Transforming Age has provided me with numerous opportunities to grow as a professional and I am thankful to be a part of this wonderful team!

Meet Jasmine, Culinary Director.

I was hired for my first job at Tradition (in Brooklyn Park, MN) in May of 2009 at the age of 16. I quickly realized I loved working with seniors and being able to help them. As the years passed I progressed my way through the department slowly getting promotions and small awards. Looking back almost 12 years now in 2021, I never imagined I would still be working at the place I love and in the position I am in running the department.

The most rewarding and challenging work I do in my role at Transforming Age is forming relationships of trust with our wonderful team members who serve our residents face to face every day. The culture here allows everyone to see the potential that their individual role can have for good in the lives of our residents. We really do have the best team to take on the ever growing challenges and possibilities of enhancing the lives of Older Adults.

Meet Eric, Sous Chef.

Making food for people is instant satisfaction. Each plate you serve can make or break a person’s entire demeanor before it is even tasted. As a Sous Chef for the past four years at Transforming Age, it has been my great pleasure to look my customers in the face –morning, noon and night –so I want to get it right!

All of our guests have great ideas for the menu, and even recipes to share that I may never have thought to include in the meal plan. We have made dinners solely designed by our residents with a public nod to them in particular. One resident queried on about Lucille Ball’s favorite food, a Waldorf salad with fresh raspberries, which prompted a month of “famous favorites” recipes inspired by entertainment greats.

Meet Stephanie, Senior Accountant.

I’ve been with Transforming Age since 2012. I was hired as Staff Accountant to focus on all billing for our CCRCs in Washington and to work on special projects. I was promoted to Senior Accountant role in 2016, then took on Treasury/banking responsibilities, tracking our system occupancy and all billing for WA communities. We’ve grown so much but we’ve stayed connected. Working here is more like a family environment and it’s all because of the people.

Meet Kathryn, Nursing Assistant.

I have been with The Rivers for 6 years and counting. I knew my calling was in caregiving when I was 16 taking care of my uncle on hospice. Transforming Age has been a big part of my life as I love the residents and think of them every day. Fulfilling their daily needs is a huge passion of mine and what makes them happy makes me happy. Seeing a smile on their face feels so rewarding. I value my job and the staff that I work with. We are a good team!

Meet Emily, Financial Planning Manager.

When you work hard here you’re definitely recognized. I started as a senior accountant and then was promoted to financial analyst and then manager within 3 years. I’ve seen many employees promoted from within. If you have good ideas and are willing to put those ideas into action, you’re listened to, and that’s a really positive aspect to working here.
