Transformation in Action.

Let’s get real. The time has come to face the challenges of our aging society. We seek a world where every individual has the opportunity to thrive, regardless of age. We envision a multi-generational society where age is celebrated and respected, older adults are safely housed and socially connected regardless of means and abilities, and our caregivers are supported. But as the global population ages, our society faces a significant demographic shift that requires creative and forward-thinking solutions.

Meeting the Need With Holistic Solutions.

There is a national crisis in health and wellness services for the aging. Yet private philanthropy remains nearly absent – only 6% of nonprofits focus on aging and the caregiving.

Every day in the United States 10,000 people turn 65. The “baby boomer” generation is retiring, many with limited means. Today between 20-29% of American adults are providing unpaid care for a loved one with a chronic illness or a disability at home.
And caregiving can lead to physical, emotional, and financial strain. According to AARP, nearly 1 in 5 caregivers reports fair or poor health and suffers from at least one chronic condition.

Each year Transforming Age’s affiliates serve more than 125,000 older adults and their unpaid caregivers each year. We’ve saved taxpayers $50 million with community-based care and provided $10 million in unreimbursed charity support as elders remain in their homes.

Jim’s journey with Adult Day Health left an indelible mark on his heart. As he cared for his wife, Dona, he witnessed firsthand the transformative power of compassionate care. The warmth, the smiles, the unwavering support—it all mattered deeply.
Inspired by his experience, Jim has stepped forward with great generosity. His $6,000 pledge to Full Life Care is a beacon of hope, igniting our spring fundraiser. With each dollar, he honors Dona’s memory and extends a lifeline to others in need. Jim’s gift is more than a sum; it’s a ripple effect. It fuels programs that empower older adults, caregivers, and families. From health care access to community engagement, we’re weaving a safety net of compassion.

Together, we are working toward a future where adults with serious illnesses or disabilities can be supported in the community rather than living in isolation or needing to resort to institutional care.
